You are asking an EXTREMELY broad question and hence the only possible answer is "it depends upon the utility and what the job is attempting to do". The DB2 V10 Utility Guide and Reference manual is 1151 pages and each utility described in this manual has a "Concurrency and compatibility" section describing what the restrictions on it as far as other jobs running simultaneously. I HIGHLY recommend you start reading the Utility Guide and Reference manual for your version of DB2 -- it will answer your questions. If it takes you a few weeks to read over a thousand pages, then so be it -- you need to learn this material sooner or later any way.
