hi Robert, thanks for your reply
Let me explain about my experience, For a develop system (First LPAR in new machine) I saw a CE man defined all I/O devices in a file on support element (I think that was IOCDS) after that he used POR.
when i checked the IODF I figured out just unit address has been defined on it. SE man didn't define any information about channel, path, control unit and port ... and he just defined unit address![icon_confused.gif]()
IOCDS was different from IODF and it worked![icon_exclaim.gif]()
These things was different from IBM manual. Do you think any problems may occur ?![icon_question.gif]()
