the only data being exchanged is the 3270 data stream
zOS tcp/ip, and vtam treat the same way the requests from real 3270 and emulated ones
only in terms of tcpip and vtam capabilities
( colors, lines/columns, ... )
IBM does not and will not care about the terminal emulator being used
as long as it complies with the 3270 specifications
( if it does not comply, the user will face the most awkward errors )

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort![icon_cool.gif]()
